About the Photographer:

Adam Marsnik is a photographer based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota.  He is a professional librarian who nurtured his love for photography over the years.  He began his professional photography career by giving prints of his works as gifts.  He has recently moved into the larger fine art photography market.

Photographers statement: "The translucent and reflective qualities of water and glass intrigue me: this duality often lends an air of mystery and depth to an image. As a photographer, I strive to capture not only the grand sweep of landscapes and architecture but also the unexpected detail in the everyday: a pond’s shimmering reminiscent of Monet, a snail tucked among the branches of a cedar bush, and raindrops dribbling down a window. My goal is to evoke a strong reaction in the viewer, whether it be a memory, an emotion, a smile."

Many of his images come from Europe, primarily Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, and the Netherlands. But a great number of images reflect the beauty that can be found in the state of Minnesota and surrounding areas.

Adam understands that all art is highly personal. If you like the images you see here, but nothing quite speaks to you, please contact us at rufus@fotorufus.com.  We will be happy to help you find an image from our unpublished collections which means something to you.

About the Photographic Prints:

The images are presented as taken. There is a minimum of post shot editing done to the photos.  Most images are in full color.  Many that appear to be black and white are actually color images of subjects that were mostly black, white, and grey in nature.

All photographs are printed as shot, maintaining the aspect ratio of the original shot. In order to preserve the entirety of the image, there will be a white border surrounding the image and the image's name and photographer's signature on the white border area under the image.

All photographic prints are made using a high quality Epson Ultrachrome Archival digital printer and Platine rag fine art photographic paper.  These are archival photo prints, not poster prints.

About Foto Rufus:

Rufus was the beloved cairn terrier who shared his life with the photographer. Sadly, Rufus became ill and died before Adam could bring his company into reality.  Thus, the company was named Foto Rufus LLC and a logo created to honor his beloved friend, now gone.
